The transition to college can be overwhelming for young adults, and even
more so for those with executive functioning and self-advocacy
challenges. The development of such skills is critical for success in
college. This presentation will focus on the differences in skill set
expectation between secondary and postsecondary education. Skill
development related to being a successful student with a focus on
executive functioning and self-advocacy skills, as well as the different
tiers of supports available on college campuses, will be delineated.
