Interesting story and product

Not exactly a disability owned business but inspiring nonetheless.... Read on.

Heather Britton is the owner of http://www.wheelchairflair.com/. The company began nearly two years ago when my then 2 year old needed a way to keep warm in his wheelchair. Having to remove him from his wheelchair to put on a winter coat was frustrating and awkward. I made him a snuggly fleece cape and WheelchairFlair was born.

Our goals are to make affordable and practical items for kids as well as adults in wheelchairs, while keeping the business local. All of our items are made at The Olmsted Center for Site by sewers with visual impairments who are accustomed to sewing items that meet government standards.

Please take a moment to visit the site, learn more about me, and let me know if there is anything we can help you with, or if you know of someone who could benefit from our products. Winter is coming!

We would be happy to bring samples to you. We come to you for free consults as well as free local delivery.

Thank you for your time!
